Finn Balor names top WWE NXT star as his dream WrestleMania opponent

Finn Balor successfully retained the WWE NXT Title over Kyle O’Reilly in the main event of Wednesday’s NXT, which was billed as New Year’s Evil.

Ahead of it, he spoke with SportsKeeda for a new interview. The first question was about his dream opponent at WrestleMania. Balor noted that he still thinks it’s 2020 and hasn’t realized that Royal Rumble and WrestleMania are coming up so quickly.

“Obviously, the big choice I think would be Karrion Kross. I feel like he deserves a title shot. Obviously, I have gone through what he has gone through in the past, I sympathize and have empathy with his situation.”

Balor also wouldn’t be opposed to facing Pete Dunne down the road as well.

Of course, Kross won the NXT Title by dethroning Keith Lee only to suffer a shoulder injury in the same match and had to relinquish the championship. WWE has already teased a possible showdown between Kross and Balor.

WWE holds its next TakeOver special on February 14th. You can listen to the entire interview by clicking on the player below (quotes can be found around the 0:52 mark):
