Finn Balor will be taking time off from WWE next month, as first reported by Pro Wrestling Sheet.
It’s unclear why he requested time off but he asked for two months off the road and his request was granted. He will be off beginning sometime in August. I would assume that his time off would start after SummerSlam.
The story noted that one wrestler said that Balor needed time to “recharge” himself. No word on if this played a part in WWE’s decision to have him drop the Intercontinental Championship to Shinsuke Nakamura on Sunday night during the Extreme Rules Kickoff show.
Given how hard he goes in the ring and the fact that he wrestles on most live events, it’s not surprising that he would want some time away from shows to rest up.
