Amazon MGM Studios has released the first official images for The Wrecking Crew, a new action comedy starring Dave Bautista and Jason Momoa. The film is set to premiere exclusively on Prime Video on January 28, 2026.
The movie follows two half-brothers—a “loose cannon” cop played by Momoa and a disciplined Navy SEAL portrayed by Bautista. After 20 years of estrangement and “bad blood,” the siblings must put their differences aside to solve their father’s murder in Hawaii.
Directed by Angel Manuel Soto, known for his work on DC’s Blue Beetle, the film promises a mix of high-octane action and comedic banter. The screenplay was written by Jonathan Tropper, the creative mind behind television hits such as Warrior, See, and the upcoming Your Friends & Neighbors.
In addition to the leading duo, the cast features a strong ensemble including Jacob Batalon, Claes Bang, Frankie Adams, Stephen Root, Temuera Morrison, and Miyavi. The release of the promotional images on Wednesday, December 17, has officially kicked off the marketing campaign for the highly anticipated release.
The Wrecking Crew marks another major project for Bautista, who continues to expand his acting portfolio following his departure from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
