Sometimes all you need to do is get on television and look good while taking a beating. It worked for James Ellsworth and that resulted in a run with WWE nobody saw coming. The Bludgeon Brothers are the resident squashers of the SmackDown Tag Team Division at the moment, and this week Harper and Rowan had two enhancement talent to run through with ease.
But it just so happens that one of their opponents was quite familiar if you were a fan of WWE’s incarnation of ECW. Colin Delaney was one of the guys taking a brunt of the damage from Harper and Rowan and he looked pretty good in the process.
Delaney was only with ECW for one short year from 2007-2008, but he still took part in plenty of moments. Although he spent a lot of time looking at the lights, Delaney was able to pick up a win every now and then like when he celebrated his first win in a tag team match with Tommy Dreamer when he defeated The Miz and John Morrison.
It was pretty cool to see Colin Delaney back on WWE television. Who knows where it could lead for him, but even if this was just a one-off enhancement talent deal Delaney shows no signs of stopping yet.
