Former Impact World Champion Eli Drake has signed with WWE.
Drake made an appearance shortly before they went on the air for the NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day pre-show.
Drake had recently worked for the National Wrestling Alliance but he’s been a free agent for several months. During an interview with Chris Van Vliet, Drake indicated that a return to pro wrestling might not be in the cards since he was looking at doing outside projects but plans have changed and, based on the clip below, it looks like he will be part of the NXT brand.
According to those in attendance at TakeOver, Drake was referring to himself as LA Knight.
Drake is just the latest top star to join WWE. As noted earlier, Taya Valkyrie has also signed with the company. She was backstage at the last NXT tapings.
