Former Impact Wrestling and MLW stars make WWE NXT debut

There were some new (and familiar to some of you) faces at tonight's NXT TV tapings.

Former MLW World Heavyweight Champion Shane Strickland made his debut at the TV tapings against former Impact Wrestling X-Division Champion Trevor Lee.

Lee's contract with Impact Wrestling expired last December and he signed his deal with WWE in January. In addition to his work from Impact Wrestling, you may have seen him in CWF Mid-Atlantic, PWG and Jeff Jarrett's Global Force Wrestling. He was trained by Matt and Jeff Hardy in Cameron, North Carolina.

Strickland was officially introduced at the Performance Center last month but it was known for months that he was WWE-bound after he declared himself a free agent in January.

Strickland began his wrestling training in 2008 and he's wrestled for several promotions around the world including CZW, DEFY Wrestling, WrestleCircus, EVOLVE, Lucha Underground (as Killshot) and recently Major League Wrestling.

Lee vs. Strickland appeared to have been a dark match so you may not see this match on the WWE Network.

We'll have complete spoilers up shortly.
