Former Impact Wrestling announcer makes his WWE TV debut

Jeremy Borash made his WWE television debut on Friday’s episode of 205 Live.

He did so when he hosted this week’s “The Matches That Made Me” episode along with Tom Phillips, who introduced him at the start of the show. He joked that Borash had always hoped to make his TV debut in this fashion and how Borash had been on WCW Nitro.

The duo also ended the show when Phillips asked Borash who he thought would win the interim NXT Cruiserweight Title Tournament before joking how he would pick Drake Maverick. This was a reference to Borash working with Maverick in Impact Wrestling.

Borash was a longtime employee of TNA/Impact Wrestling before signing with WWE in January 2018. While with TNA, he worked in various roles such as ring announcer, commentator, backstage interviewer, and more. He also had a behind-the-scenes role.

Now, he’s the senior director of content and development in WWE NXT.

Oney Lorcan tweeted the following about Borash being on the brand:

“JEREMY BORASH IS A CERTIFIED LUNATIC AND I AM HAPPY HE IS ON 205 LIVE ON THE WWE NETWORK RIGHT NOW”
