Former Impact Wrestling star signs with WWE

Former Impact Wrestling X-Division Champion DJZ has signed a deal with WWE. PWInsider reported the news and we have independently confirmed the news with a WWE source.

It was expected that he would sign after WWE expressed interest in signing him in February. He is not expected to start in NXT right away because he has to wrap up some independent appearances.

DJZ, real name Michael Paris, began his wrestling career in 2003 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He made a name for himself as Shiima Xion on the independent scene before getting signed to a deal with TNA Wrestling in 2011. Later, he changed the name to Zema Ion.
