Former MMA fighter gets a job with WWE, WWE's message to indie wrestlers



- Strikeforce MMA fans may remember the name Seth Petruzelli. Petruzelli was hired as the new striking coach at the WWE Performance Center. The job works for Petruzelli since he lives in the Orlando area. He will be working there three days per week.

- Wrestlers that are looking to get a second tryout with WWE are given this answer by WWE's Canyon Ceman: "Make yourself an indy star. Low chance of getting in through a second tryout."

At one time, WWE would look down on independent talent with the feeling that the style didn't translate to WWE but that mentality has changed greatly based on fan taste. The company used to rely mostly on bigger and higher quality athletes that they could train from scratch.
