Petey Williams had been working for WWE as a Producer on a trial basis since late October. Now, he’s joining the company full-time.
Fightful Select reports WWE finalized a deal with the former TNA Wrestling star to bring him on full-time in the role as a contract was recently offered, and completed this week. Several stars spoke highly of Williams’ work and noted that they grew up watching him.
This was a role that he had been in over the last few years with Impact Wrestling. Before working behind the scenes, Williams, who was at one point a top star in the X-Division, had some memorable matches with several notable names such as AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, and more in the early days of the promotion.
In 2017, Williams returned to Impact Wrestling and had been in a recent feud with Steve Maclin. His latest match was in early October when he worked a battle royal on an episode of Impact TV.
