Former Women’s Champion Confirms She Declined WWE Offer

Gail Kim revealed during a recent Q&A session that she had to turn down an offer from WWE. Kim, who is currently a free agent after her departure from TNA Wrestling earlier this year, was asked by a fan if she would be working with WWE in the future.

Kim responded directly to the question, confirming that an opportunity was presented, but she was unable to accept it. “I had to decline the offer unfortunately,” Kim wrote. “Sucks but had to.”

Kim did not go into further detail regarding the specific nature of the offer, whether it was for an in-ring return, a coaching role, or a backstage position. She also did not elaborate on the specific reasons why she “had to” decline it.

This news comes after a busy year for the Hall of Famer. Kim departed from her role with TNA Wrestling in March after having been with the company for 17 years across two stints. In June, Fightful reported that she was backstage at a set of NXT tapings, which sparked speculation about a potential role with the brand.

Despite declining the WWE offer, Kim has remained active in the industry. She has taken a handful of bookings for appearances in 2025, though some plans have changed. She was scheduled to serve as a special referee for the Natalya vs. Kenzie Paige match at the NWA’s Crockett Cup event in May, but was forced to pull out due to illness.

More recently, Kim made a surprise debut for GCW last month. She appeared at the Dream On event in New Jersey, where she cut a heel promo on the GCW fans before being confronted by Joey Janela.
