Last month, we wrote about Mick Foley being booked for the Raw 25th anniversary show. Foley confirmed in an interview with The Mirror that he has indeed been invited to the show but he does not know if he will be able to attend.
Foley said, “I’ve been invited, I’m trying to clear out time from something I had already committed to. Whether I’m there in person or not, I believe I will be there in spirit. This show literally changed my life. It was such a big part of my life. Not just from the time I was on it. I’m almost always watching on Monday night with my children, so it has been a big part of my life, whether I’m on the show or not.”
Foley was a huge part of the success of Monday Night Raw during the Attitude Era and it would not feel right if he was not there with the other legends that are being brought back. Hopefully, he can clear his schedule so that he can make an appearance.
Names we know are booked for the show include The Undertaker, DeGeneration X, Jim Ross, Jerry “The King” Lawler, The Dudley Boyz, Ric Flair, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, The Bella Twins, The New Age Outlaws, The APA, Ted DiBiase, Eric Bischoff, and Stone Cold Steve Austin. I believe Bret “The Hitman” Hart is also expected to be on the show. Also, Roman Reigns will defend the Intercontinental Championship against The Miz and we’ll see the return of Brock Lesnar and John Cena. Speaking of Cena, a MAJOR angle is likely to play out on that show. It’s a major spoiler and you can click here if you want to read more.
