Former WWE Diva Melina refutes reports that she’s extremely difficult to work with

Former WWE Diva Melina Perez made her Lucha Underground debut at the end of season 1 but was replaced by a woman named Taya for season two.

Sources at Lucha Underground are refuting the recent reports saying that Melina was extremely difficult to work with. Producers at Lucha Underground claim that she would only sign on for the season finale, but the door was open for season 2.

Melina posted this statement on the rumors via Twitter:

“I love wrestling, but I never thought I’d see this much crazy from people where they’d start rumors & such, long after I’ve stopped wrestling. During my career, All I wanted was to be around people that loved what I loved and make magic with them. I’m not even in wrestling anymore and people still keep fabricating stories of this evil, villain of a woman. It’s awesome to think my onscreen character was that convincing, but in actuality… That’s just crazy!”

As noted above in her tweet, Melina also said that she was not going to be in season 2 because she was told that they didn’t want to pair her with Johnny Mundo because it was already done in WWE. That doesn’t make sense because if that was the case then they would have never written her into the season 1 finale to begin with.

While some at Lucha Underground are denying the story, others have told us that reports (from the Wrestling Observer) about her being difficult to work with are absolutely correct. Also, Melina’s reasoning on twitter for why Lucha Underground didn’t want to use her contradicts what Lucha Underground people are saying.
