Former WWE Name Signs Legends Deal

WWE continues to lock down talent down to contracts, including past stars.

Armando Alejandro Estrada is the latest to sign a Legends deal, according to PWInsider.com. He worked with the company on and off from 2004 to 2012.

Estrada started out as a manager, most notably for the late great Umaga, before transitioning into being the General Manager of ECW. He was let go in 2008 before returning to WWE two years later for a two-year stint, during which time he wasn’t often used on television.

He hit the independent scene to wrestle again but stopped competing in 2013. Armando Alejandro Estrada joins Jacqueline, Jesse Ventura, The Headbangers, Mick Foley, Victoria, The Godfather, and The Dudley Boyz, who have signed similar deals.

These deals allow WWE to use stars’ likenesses for various purposes, including video games and merchandise. Being under such a deal does not prevent the talent from working elsewhere.
