Former WWE star Buddy Murphy is counting down the days until he is free to sign with a wrestling promotion after being let go by WWE due to budget cuts.
Murphy will become a free agent when his 90-day non-compete clause expires on Tuesday, August 31.
Murphy has been releasing short videos via social media to hype up his post-WWE career. The latest videos were uploaded today with him being freed. At the end of the second clip, the name “Buddy Murphy” is shown before it ends with the name “Buddy Matthews.”
Buddy Matthews, his new ring name, is a combination of keeping Buddy as his first name but also using his Matthews as his last name considering his real name is Matthew Adams.
