After 10 years of marriage, former WWE Superstar Eva Marie and her husband, Jonathan Coyle, are calling it quits.
TMZ Sports reports that Natalie Eva Marie Nelson (Eva Marie’s real name) filed for divorce earlier this month. The couple, who wed in October 2014, reportedly separated in October 2023 due to irreconcilable differences.
Eva Marie first signed with WWE in 2013 and quickly rose to prominence, appearing on the reality show “Total Divas” and managing the Bella Twins. Though initially presented as a valet, she eventually transitioned to in-ring competition, joining the SmackDown brand in 2016. However, her wrestling career was met with mixed reactions, with some criticizing her in-ring skills. Despite this, she remained a popular figure and was often featured in storylines. After departing WWE in 2017, she made a brief return in 2021 with a new persona, showcasing improved wrestling ability and a renewed focus on her athleticism. Her final WWE appearance was later that year.
Beyond wrestling, Eva Marie also competed on “Celebrity Big Brother,” finishing in seventh place.
Coyle, a fitness entrepreneur, co-founded the company NEMfashion. The couple’s romance began at a CrossFit gym, and their whirlwind courtship and elopement were documented on “Total Divas.” They later held a formal ceremony attended by fellow wrestling stars like Nikki and Brie Bella, Summer Rae, Cameron, and Layla.
