Ahead of this week's AEW Dynamite, there is news coming out about a former WWE star that is expected to sign with the company.

Per a report from Fightful, AEW officials are said to have significant interest in Toni Storm and the interest in her is so strong that several of the talent in the company expect her to sign with the company sooner than later.

For what it's worth, Tony Khan has been hyping that a new talent will join the roster on Dynamite and she will face The Bunny in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Qualifying match. Khan has stated that this person will officially sign with the company on Wednesday night. It's not confirmed that this is Storm but her name has been heavily rumored over the last few days.

Storm requested her release from WWE in December and it was quickly granted. She reportedly flew herself home from a house show and has not said anything publicly about the reason for her release request but she has been in the news as of late after launching an OnlyFans account.

Another name that has been rumored to be AEW-bound is former WWE star Ember Moon, now back to using the name Athena on the independent scene. Fightful reported that there has been talk about her going to AEW but that there's been a "feeling out" process and the feeling from people in AEW is that there is no sense of urgency right now to get her on board.

Athena was released by WWE on November 4 and her 90-day non-compete expired last month. The company line was that she was let go due to budget cuts, despite the fact that she was moved back to NXT and was being pushed again as one of the top female stars on the brand.

The third female name that has been rumored online is Nixon Newell, known to many fans as former WWE star Tegan Nox. She was let go in November after a short stint on the main roster. Fightful reported that she's been trying to sort out her Visa issues and there is no word on if there's interest from any of the major wrestling promotions.

All signs point to Toni Storm appearing very soon on AEW TV, and perhaps as soon as this week's episode of Dynamite. Here is the updated line-up:
