Neville’s time with WWE is officially done.
Last year Neville walked out on the company after several issues with the promotion. His contract was subsequently frozen and he returned to the UK with his wife. Earlier this week news broke that Neville was no longer under contract with WWE. He’s now free to work for any promotion he’d like.
It remains unclear, however, if Neville will be subject to the usual 90 day non-compete clause from his previous WWE deal. WWE themselves have since confirmed that the former Cruiserweight Champion is no longer with the company. Neville is an extremely talented in-ring performer so it’s no surprise promotions are already gunning for his services.
While possible runs with the likes of New Japan Pro Wrestling and Ring Of Honor can be expected, another promotion has recently expressed their interest. Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Stu Bennett (also known as Wade Barrett) recently took to Twitter to campaign for Neville to come work for WOS Wrestling.
Bennett suggested Neville watch their upcoming show and take his pick of opponents:
Yo @WWENeville. I’ve got a bunch of lads at @WOSWrestling who are asking to fight you.. Check it out on @ITV at 5pm today & you can pick your opponent 👊🏻🇬🇧 pic.twitter.com/0uQGsXoq9t
