Former WWE Star Is Officially A Free Agent

As folks around the world ring in the new year, one former WWE star is looking for a fresh beginning in 2025.

Baron Corbin, aka Tom Pestock, had been waiting for his contract to expire after being informed a few months ago by the company that they wouldn’t be renewing his deal. As previously reported by Fightful, Corbin, Tyler Breeze, and AJ Francis were all backstage at AEW Worlds End last Saturday night.

After a successful NXT stint, WWE called up Corbin to the main roster in 2016. There, he found further success and was consistently booked under Vince McMahon. Among his accolades, he is a former Money in the Bank, King of the Ring winner, and former United States Champion. He was also a former two-time NXT Tag Team Champion.

Corbin later went to NXT, where he had undergone a few different character changes. He was called up to the main roster in 2024, although the company didn’t do much with him there.

Corbin noted on Twitter that he is officially a free agent. He issued the following statement:

“I’m officially no longer under contract since i was not fired.  I was told they were not extending. So if you’re making a horror movie, let me know ha ha ha ha   New year, no contract, let’s see what we can create.”
