Some wrestlers who depart from WWE take time away from the wrestling business, or go to another major promotion like AEW and NJPW, while others work smaller promotions or even the independent scene.
Cassie Lee, under the name of Peyton Royce, got over as a tag team, The IIconics, in WWE with Jessica McKay, going by the name Billie Kay. After they were let go by WWE, they went to Impact Wrestling as The IInspiration in October 2021, where they found success and held the Knockouts Tag Team titles once. They departed from the promotion in 2022 before Lee gave birth to her first child with Shawn Spears last year.
Lee is returning to the ring for World Series Wrestling in Australia. The promotion announced she would be appearing at their upcoming Full Throttle tour on October 6-13.
The Motor City Machine Guns, Frankie Kazarian, Brian Cage, Speedball Mike Bailey, Matt Cardona, and Steph De Lander are also confirmed for the tournament.
Lee took to Twitter to react to the news by writing, “Let’s grapple!,” with a gif that read “And I’m back in the game!”
