Former WWE star Kairi Sane returns to in-ring action at Stardom World Climax

Kairi Sane, now going by the ring name of KAIRI, made her return to in-ring competition at the Stardom World Climax ‘The Best’ event on Saturday from Ryōgoku Sumo Hall.

She teamed with Mayu Iwatani to defeat Tam Nakano and Unagi Sayaka. This marked her first match for the promotion since 2017. The finish saw KAIRI hit her elbow drop and Mayu followed up with a moonsault for the three count.

KAIRI signed with WWE in 2017 and started in NXT where she eventually won the NXT Women’s Title in 2019. WWE called her up to the main roster to pair her with Asuka where they were known as the Kabuki Warriors. They held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles once.
