Former WWE Star Makes In-Ring Return After Two-Year Hiatus

Whenever WWE releases talent, they can go in various directions, whether that be to another big promotion, working the independent wrestling scene, or go into another field of work.

Aliyah was released from WWE in September 2023 after signing with the company in 2015. Now, she works under her real name, Nhooph Al-Areebi, and recently returned to wrestling.

She did so at a recent Destiny Wrestling event in Canada. This marked her first match since September 2022 on an episode of Raw that saw her and Raquel Rodriguez lose the Women’s Tag Team Championships to Damage CTRL (IYO SKY and Dakota Kai). This ended the tag team title run at just 13 days. The former WWE star never returned to television after the title loss due to injury.
