Former WWE Star Makes ROH Debut

Japanese wrestling superstar Sareee has made her official debut for ROH. The 29-year-old veteran appeared at the promotion’s latest television taping, which took place on Wednesday, October 1, just before the sixth-anniversary episode of AEW Dynamite. Her arrival brings another major international star to the ROH women’s division and opens up a host of dream match possibilities for the multi-time champion.

Sareee, who began her career in Japan at the age of 15, has been one of the most decorated and respected female wrestlers in the world for over a decade. She made a name for herself in the World Woman Pro-Wrestling Diana promotion, where she was a two-time Diana World Champion.

In 2020, she signed with WWE and was a part of the NXT brand from 2021 to 2023, performing under the name Sarray. Her time in NXT was met with mixed results, and she eventually left the company in March 2023 due to creative differences. Since her departure from WWE, Sareee has had a massive career resurgence in her native Japan.

She has competed for a number of top promotions, including Stardom, Seadlinnng, and the new Dream Star Fighting Marigold, where she became the inaugural Marigold World Champion. She is currently one of the most decorated active wrestlers in the world, holding both the prestigious IWGP Women’s Championship and the Sukeban World Championship (as the character Sareee Bomb).
