Former WWE Star Makes TNA Debut

TNA has a new star on its roster. During the company’s live television tapings on Friday, former WWE star Cedric Alexander made his debut, confronting a spiraling Mustafa Ali.

The shocking arrival occurred as Ali was about to attack his former stablemate, John Skyler. Alexander’s music hit and he walked to the ring, standing face-to-face with Ali. The confrontation took another turn as the rest of Ali’s group, Order Four, chose to stand with Alexander, leaving a stunned Ali to retreat alone. The events were broadcast live as a special “sneak peek” on the free tier of the TNA+ streaming service and will air in their regular television slot this coming Thursday on AXS TV.

The stage for Alexander’s debut was set by Ali’s increasingly aggressive behavior towards his own faction since his loss at the Rebellion pay-per-view. On last week’s show, Ali accosted Tasha Steelz and dismissed her and Jason Hotch before challenging Skyler to the match that ultimately led to the confrontation.

Alexander was released from his WWE contract on February 7. He is well-known for his main roster run as a member of The Hurt Business. His former partners in that group, Bobby Lashley, MVP, and Shelton Benjamin, currently compete in AEW as the Hurt Syndicate.
