Killer Kross, formerly known as Karrion Kross in WWE, could be returning to the company. Fightful Select reports that they’ve learned that the former NXT Champion had been discussed as a name of interest for WWE to bring back to the company.

Several people within the wrestling business outright expected him to return. One source indicated that they think it was already in the company's plans. Fightful has only confirmed that his name was at least discussed on WWE's end.

As previously reported, Kross recently posted a screenshot from a fan listening to his old WWE theme music and noted they wished Kross would make a return to the company. Many took this as him expressing his interest in a return.

There had been rumors that Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux were booked for an ROH appearance at Supercard of Honor before Tony Khan brought the company. However, Khan later dismissed that and noted that the couple was never booked for the show.

Kross was contacted about working a match against Wardlow on Dynamite but passed on the offer. Since his release from WWE last year, he has worked for NJPW and MLW.

While in NXT under the leadership of Triple H, Kross was booked as a top star and quickly got over with the fans. However, once called up to the main roster, Vince McMahon repacked him several times before letting him go.

With Triple H in charge of creative, it seems more likely that Kross would entertain the idea of returning to WWE.
