Former WWE star Mia Yim explains why she hasn’t returned to the ring yet

Mia Yim is on the free agent market after her  90-day non-compete with WWE expired in early February. However, she has yet to appear for any wrestling promotions.

It’s been an exciting time for Yim as not only is she free of WWE, but she also got married to Keith Lee last weekend and her husband just made his AEW debut this past Wednesday.

Yim took to Twitter to explain her in-ring status and noted that she plans to wrestle again in March:

“To those wondering why I’m not back in the ring yet.. February is a busy month. With the wedding and the move, I decided to not take any bookings until March to focus on getting everything handled at home first. So don’t worry, I’ll see you all in the ring in March #HBIC”

After breaking into the business in 2009, she made a name for herself by working for promotions such as SHINE, SHIMMER, and CZW. While in Impact Wrestling, she was a one-time Knockouts champion.

Yim signed with WWE in 2018 and became a notable star in NXT. She was called up to the main roster in 2020 as a member of the Retribution stable under the ring name Reckoning. After the stable was broken up, WWE didn’t do much with her before releasing her in November.
