Former WWE Superstar Dasha Kuret (formerly known as Dasha Fuentes) wrestled her first match in over 4 years in Wisconsin over the weekend.
Kuret, who currently does Spanish-language commentary for AEW Dynamite broadcasts, got her start in the business as a professional wrestler but only wrestled two matches in 2015 before transitioning into the role of a backstage interviewer. She was released by WWE earlier this year.
Here is what she said on Instagram about her in-ring return:
“Yesterday was a dream come true for me and it couldn’t have been made possible if it wasn’t for @flatbackstraining @mmmgorgeous @theshawnspears @ladyrm @thedavidherro and all of the amazing talent that would pop in to help coach and guide me throughout my training (it’s not over it’s only just begun!!!) I have a lot more to learn, but I’m eternally grateful for all of the love and support! These are a few clips from my first singles match ever. ? Last year was rough bc I ruptured my #Achilles tendon, had surgery and now 1 year and 2 months later my dream of having a match came true! I started training at the school 7/8/19 with the ok from both my orthopedic surgeon and physical therapist, but prior to that I only had 2 matches. The first one was a 6 women tag on 4/11/15 in Largo, FL and the only other one was a tag team match in Orlando, FL on 4/17/15 fast forward 4.5 years later I got to make my singles debut in the beautiful state of #Wisconsin #TheBestIsYetToCome #ThankYou #overjoyed #flatbackstraining #wrestling #lovinglife”
