One of WWE’s most unique and terrifying characters seemingly wants to make a comeback. The Boogeyman has taken to social media to call on WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, for one last run in the company.
Martin Wright, the man behind the worm-eating character, first appeared on WWE programming as part of the 2004 Tough Enough competition. After being cut for lying about his age, he was signed to a contract and debuted as The Boogeyman in 2005. He remained with WWE until 2009 and has made several one-off appearances since.
His most recent match was in a battle royal for Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling promotion in 2024. Now over 60 years old, a full-time run is unlikely, but it remains to be seen if his public plea will catch the attention of Triple H and lead to one more appearance in a WWE ring.
