Former WWE star Sidney Akeem, known to fans as Reggie and SCRYPTS, has released an unseen vignette that reveals his original vision for the NXT faction OTM (Out The Mud)
Sidney Akeem’s Original OTM Vision
In a post on his social media, Akeem shared the vignette, which he wrote, filmed, and produced himself. The video features Akeem sitting with Bronco Nima and Lucien Price, tapping into his real-life upbringing and addressing the issues he had with his previous WWE gimmicks not representing who he really is. In the post’s caption, he explained that he “hand picked” Nima and Price for the group.
Creative Differences Over The OTM Faction
Akeem also revealed that while the creative team “loved the idea,” the final version of the faction that made it to television was not accurate to his original creation. “I don’t point blame but I only imagine what could have been,” he wrote.
OTM debuted on NXT television in September 2023. Akeem was a part of the group alongside Nima, Price, and Jaida Parker before his eventual release from WWE in June 2024. Nima and Price continue to team together as OTM in NXT.
Since his WWE departure, Akeem has returned to the independent circuit, competing for promotions like GCW, ROH, and TNA Wrestling, where he recently challenged for the X-Division Championship.
