Former WWE Star Returning For Guest Coaching Stint At Performance Center

Former WWE Tag Team Champion Doug Basham is expected to make a return to the company in a coaching capacity next month. PWInsider.com reports that the belief among those at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, is that Basham will be coming in to work as a Guest Coach in June 2025.

This news follows an earlier report from PWInsider a few weeks ago, which had indicated that such a role for Basham had been discussed within WWE. His potential return would bring a wealth of experience to the young talent currently training and developing in the NXT system.

Basham is known for his time in WWE during the early to mid-2000s, where he was a two-time WWE Tag Team Champion alongside Danny Basham as part of the Basham Brothers tag team.

They were also prominent in WWE’s former developmental territory, Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), where they held the OVW Southern Tag Team Championship multiple times. As a guest coach, Basham would likely work with NXT Superstars on their in-ring skills, character development, and understanding of television production, sharing knowledge from his years in the business.
