WWE Hall Of Fame Jerry “The King” Lawler will host a King’s Court segment on SmackDown Live this Tuesday night and his guest will be a former Women’s Champion.
Lawler announced on Twitter that fellow WWE Hall Of Famer and former Women’s Champion Trish Stratus will be his special guest on Tuesday.
This appears to be the start of the build towards Status’ return to the ring at SummerSlam.
As noted a few days ago, Charlotte Flair cut a backstage promo on SmackDown Live and strongly hinted that she was looking for a top name from the past to face her.
It was later confirmed that Trish Stratus has been in talks with WWE about wrestling at SummerSlam so it looks like Stratus vs. Flair will be set up on Tuesday night.
WWE has yet to announce the match on their website but you can see Lawler’s announcement below:
