Former WWE Star Is Said To Be Back With The Company After Many Years Away

Veteran performer Chavo Guerrero Jr. may be officially back with WWE in a new role. According to a new report from Fightful Select, Guerrero, who was shown on camera at the recent WWE/AAA Worlds Collide event, indicated to several sources that he has returned to the company.

The report states, “Sources that Chavo spoke to ahead of and around the event, claim that he said that he is back with the company in the official capacity.” Fightful noted that they had reached out to WWE for official comment or confirmation on the story but had not yet received a response.

Guerrero, a member of the legendary Guerrero wrestling family, was a staple of WWE programming for a decade until his departure in 2011. During his tenure, he was a multi-time champion, holding the Cruiserweight Championship four times and the ECW Championship once.

Since leaving WWE, he has remained active in the wrestling world, making appearances for promotions like TNA, AAA, and GCW. He has also found significant success behind the scenes in Hollywood, serving as the wrestling coordinator and producer for popular television series such as Netflix’s GLOW and NBC’s Young Rock.

This experience as a producer for television would make him a logical fit for a similar backstage role in WWE, either as a producer for Raw and SmackDown or as a coach at the WWE Performance Center. As of today, neither Guerrero nor WWE have made a public statement confirming his return to the company. What are your thoughts on Guerrero’s WWE return?
