Former WWE Star Says It’s ‘Embarrassing’ To Admit That His Favorite Wrestler Was Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan is having a rough week. The Former WWE Champion is getting some backlash online for comments about Vice President Kamala Harris. On Thursday, there was a report about a woman who was injured after a beer was thrown in her direction at Hogan’s promotional event. Today, the news broke that the Hogan biopic starring Chris Hemsworth is not moving forward and now a former WWE star who says he grew up watching Hogan is backing away from supporting him.

AJ Francis, who wrestles in Total Nonstop Action and was known to fans as Top Dolla in WWE, said the following on Twitter/X:

“It is consistently so embarrassing as a black man and a wrestler when people ask me who my favorite wrestler was when I started watching wrestling as a kid and I have to admit it was Hulk Hogan…”

The tweet was sent in response to someone who posted Hogan’s rant about the VP Harris. The rant this week is not the first time Hogan has been caught on tape saying something racially insensitive. In 2015, an audio tape leaked of Hogan using the n-word to describe a man his daughter Brooke was seeing. “I guess we’re all a little racist. F–king n–ger,” Hogan was heard saying on the tape.

The video that spread on social media this week has done Hogan no favors. Click below for AJ Francis’ tweet.
