Former WWE Superstar Shane “Hurricane” Helms is back at the Performance Center this week as a guest coach. Helms has been brought in before so it’s a good sign for him that he was brought back.
In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that Helms would be coaching there next week as well and he will be working as an agent/producer at the NXT house shows.
Meltzer noted that WWE’s plan to expand around the world with more Performance Center’s means that they need to hire more veteran wrestlers as coaches. He noted that the guys that they bring in for one-week stints are the most likely candidate for full-time coach roles in the company.
Quite frankly, I can’t think of many people more qualified than Helms so he would be an excellent choice.
