Former WWE Star Signs Legends Deal

WWE continues to lock down talent down to contracts, including past stars.

Former WWE star Jacqueline is the latest to announce she signed a Legends deal with the company. This is a licensing and merchandising contract. She made the news known in a social media post.

Jacqueline worked for the company from 1998-2004, during which time she became a pioneer of women’s wrestling and held the Women’s Title twice. She entered the promotion with Marc Mero for a feud with Sable. In addition to her in-ring work, she was a trainer on the first season of Tough Enough.

Jacqueline joins Jesse Ventura, The Headbangers, Mick Foley, Victoria, The Godfather, and The Dudley Boyz, who have signed similar deals. These deals allow WWE to use stars’ likenesses for various purposes, including video games and merchandise.

Being under such a deal does not prevent the talent from working elsewhere.
