If you follow the Dark Order storyline on YouTube and on social media, then you will notice that AEW has been teasing a split within the group and everything seems to be leading towards the reveal of a leader to bring everyone together.
On Wednesday night, AEW Dynamite will take place at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, NY. That happens to be the hometown of the late Brodie Lee.
Dave Meltzer reported last week in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Impact Wrestling is interested in signing Windham Rotunda (former WWE star Bray Wyatt) but there is also interest from AEW. Meltzer said that if Rotunda signs with AEW then the rumor is that he would show up at the show in Rochester.
Rotunda would have had a 90-day non-compete but he has the option to waive it and not take the money from WWE. If that is what he chose to do then he would be free to appear on any wrestling TV show.
For what it's worth, Rotunda seemed to indicate in a recent tweet that fans will see him soon. He tweeted this last week:
"Everything will be clear.
I’ll see you all very soon.
Revenge is a confession of pain."
As of this writing, the only thing announced for next week is Sammy Guevara challenging Miro for the TNT Championship. Next week could be extra special if Wyatt/Rotunda shows up.
