Impact Wrestling has done its best to get fans not only talking about the promotion but also speculating who could show up at their Slammiversary pay-per-view event, which takes place on July 18th.
At the same time, EC3 has also kept people guessing about which promotion he’ll sign with next once his non-compete clause with WWE expires on July 15th after being let go from the company due to budget cuts.
Although EC3 has teased the possibility of him going to AEW or ROH, he has also teased joining Impact, which in return has also teased the return of the former World Heavyweight Champion to the promotion.
We noted earlier on the site that EC3 confirmed while doing a Facebook Live that he will fight on July 18, which is of course the same day as Impact Wrestling’s Slammiversary PPV.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that “while not confirming he’ll be at Slammiversary, EC3 did post that he would be wrestling on 7/18. He’s widely expected to return here on that date.”
It appears that EC3 could feud with Moose should he sign with the promotion as Impact had played the theme song of the former TNA star after a match involving Moose on a recent episode of Impact.
