As was noted earlier, former WWE stars Beth Phoenix and Samantha Irvin were seen backstage at AEW Dynamite in Asheville, North Carolina. Despite their presence, PWInsider sources say there are no plans for either to appear on AEW programming. Irvin is reportedly under a no-compete clause with WWE, preventing her from appearing on any combat sports programming. Phoenix, who resides in Asheville with her husband Adam Copeland (Cope), was simply visiting friends and colleagues.
Fans last saw Beth Phoenix on TV during WWE’s Elimination Chamber 2023. She was involved in a storyline with her husband, Edge at the time, who was feuding with Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio. Phoenix stepped in to help even the odds, ultimately competing in a mixed tag team match alongside Edge against Ripley and Mysterio. This marked her final appearance with WWE before her contract expired the following year.
Samantha Irvin’s exit from WWE was quite sudden. She was a popular ring announcer for the company, known for her powerful voice and charismatic presence. In October 2024, she announced her departure from WWE, shocking many fans. Irvin later revealed on social media that she was pursuing her music career and other interests outside of wrestling. Her last appearance with WWE was on the October 16th episode of Monday Night Raw.
