Former WWE Star Wins First Title Since Departing From The Company

When a talent is released by WWE, they can go in various ways, whether leaving the business, going to a bigger promotion like AEW or NJPW, or hitting the independent wrestling scene.

Aliyah continues to pursue her dream of being a wrestler after working for WWE from 2015 to 2023. While with the company, she was in NXT for seven years before being called up to the main roster in 2021.

On the main roster, she held the Women’s Tag Team Titles once. She had been on SmackDown before being released in 2023. Aliyah took a long hiatus from wrestling after her departure, only to return to the ring in October.

She recently won the Destiny Women’s Championship, something she took to Instagram to celebrate.
