Former WWE Superstar Reveals Secret Role In Stranger Things Season 5

Former WWE Superstar Ariane Andrew, known to wrestling fans as Cameron, has officially announced her involvement in the highly anticipated fifth season of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things. In a heartfelt social media post, Andrew confirmed that she participated in filming for the show’s final season, describing the opportunity as a significant milestone in her acting career.

Andrew revealed that her previous social media posts, which fans interpreted as a potential return to professional wrestling, were actually related to her character in the show. She noted that she was cast in a role that required her to portray a wrestler, which allowed her to utilize footage that blurred the lines between her past career and her new acting venture.

“Working on this season 5 of Stranger Things… has been one of the most surreal, unexpected, and meaningful chapters of my acting journey,” Andrew wrote on Instagram. “Early on, I made this post that I was returning to WWE because I wasn’t sure if I was ever gonna get a chance to use the footage and felt that it was very fitting.”

According to Andrew, she was involved with “two characters connected to the project.” She clarified that one character she truly hopes “makes the final cut,” while the other involved “playing a wrestler.” She detailed the intense secrecy required for such a high-profile production, noting that she had to hide the truth behind strict Non-Disclosure Agreements.

“I had to keep everything hidden behind an NDA, pretending I was filming a small commercial, even though inside I was carrying the excitement of a lifetime,” Andrew explained. “Stepping onto a set like this, surrounded by unbelievably talented people whose work I’ve admired, studied, and been inspired by, made me feel both small and incredibly seen at the same time.”

Andrew, who originally gained fame as one half of The Funkadactyls alongside Naomi (Trinity Fatu) and was a cast member on Total Divas, expressed immense gratitude for the experience. She acknowledged the reality of film production, where scenes are often cut during editing, but maintained that the experience itself was invaluable regardless of screen time.

“Even now, knowing that some of my scenes might not make the final edit, I’m at peace with whatever happens,” she wrote. “The experience itself, the process, the people, the learning, the growth, was more than I ever dreamed of… Whether my characters appear for five seconds, five minutes, or not at all, it doesn’t change the fact that I got to be part of something extraordinary.”
