Former Tag Team Champions sign a new WWE deal

The word going around WWE is that The Dudley Boyz have signed new deals with the company. They were drafted to Raw last week and the company wants to keep them because they need experienced names to help the younger talent. The plans are to use them to put over new teams as they move to the main roster. WWE has the best of both worlds because while they can use them to help out the new talent, they can also step in for a major feud from time to time.

WWE is still looking for more former talent to sign. The idea is to feature less “even Steven” booking (one guy wins one week, then loses the following week) to keep the product from getting stale again. That is also why you are seeing more squash matches on Raw.

PWInsider Elite reports that both sides are happy with the new deal. The Dudley Boyz returned to the company last August after Bubba Ray Dudley got one of the loudest pops as a surprise entrant at last year’s Royal Rumble.
