Reeves noted the value of his time in NXT, particularly the opportunity to learn from numerous coaches. He specifically mentioned working with trainers like Terry Taylor, Norman Smiley, Robbie Brookside, and Matt Bloom. “The list goes on. Sarah Amato,” he said. He added, “Not many people get to experience that. It was amazing. Being on the road, traveling, going to different cities and stuff like that. Was a blast.”
When asked about his favorite matches, Reeves named several opponents he enjoyed working with. He said, “There was so many people I liked to work while I was in NXT. I mean, Adam Cole was awesome to work. Johnny Gargano was a pro. Just so many people were amazing to work, you know what I mean. Kenta was awesome to work. He was someone that I wanted to work.”
Reeves also commented on his relationship with Triple H, who was the head of NXT during his time there. He stated that Triple H would often provide him with constructive feedback. “I had some relationship with Triple H. He pulled me over to the side. Whenever I have a match on TV, he let me know, gave me some advice, told me what I could work on. And I go out there and I, you know, work on that,” Reeves said.
In the post-WWE phase of his career, Reeves shared his biggest goals. He said that he is enjoying his current life, which includes a new full-time job. “I’m enjoying having fun right now. I work full time over at Disney World,” Reeves stated. He revealed his new role, saying, “I’m a stunt performer at the Indiana Jones Show. I beat up Indiana Jones for a living.”
Reeves also continues to be involved in wrestling on a part-time basis. He mentioned his work with a Florida-based promotion, stating, “I come out here and fulfill wrestling. You know, every once in a while, Boca Raton Championship Wrestling. I also wrestle down there. I was just champion over there.” He also shared that he has a baby girl at home and is focused on “spreading some Aloha around the world.” Click below to check out the interview.
