A Former Wyatt Sicks Member Books First Post-WWE Match

The first post-WWE booking for the wrestler formerly known as Joe Gacy has been announced. He will appear at the Pro Wrestling Junkie show on September 20 in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey, wrestling under his new name, Joseph Sawyer.

It is the first confirmed independent date for any of the five former Wyatt Sicks members since their April 24 WWE releases. The rest of the group has not yet announced any return plans.

Sawyer, along with Bo Dallas, Dexter Lumis, Nikki Cross, and Erick Rowan, was let go in the round of cuts WWE made days after WrestleMania 42. Aleister Black and Zelina Vega were among the other names released in the same batch. All five members of the faction are subject to the standard 90-day WWE non-compete clause, which puts them clear to wrestle in late July.

Each of the five has either reverted to using their real name, their old ring name or adopted a new ring name:

  • Uncle Howdy / Bo Dallas: Taylor Rotunda
  • Joe Gacy: Joseph Sawyer
  • Dexter Lumis: Samuel Shaw
  • Nikki Cross: Nikki Storm
  • Erick Rowan: Erick Redbeard

The names were announced as part of a Wyatt Sicks reunion booking at WrestleCon in Minneapolis during SummerSlam weekend. WrestleCon confirmed all five will appear together across the full three-day convention, with group photo opportunities available each day.

Beyond the WrestleCon weekend and Sawyer’s September 20 PWJ date, no further bookings have been announced for any of the former Wyatt Sicks members.
