The Four Horsemen is one of the most popular groups in wrestling history. They originally formed in 1985 with Flair, Arn, Tully, Dillon, and Ole Anderson. In 1988, Windham was part of the group through 1991. Luger was also in the group in 1987.

In 2012, Flair, Arn, Tully, Windham, and Dillon as the Four Horsemen were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Starrcast V is being built around Flair as it’s already been confirmed that there will be The Roast of Ric Flair in addition to Flair's last wrestling match. As previously reported, Ricky Steamboat has declined the offer to wrestle Flair in this upcoming match.
