Fox News issues statement on sexual harassment allegations against Tyrus (Brodus Clay)

Fox News issued the following statement to us after the story we published on Thursday night about text messages allegedly sent by Tyrus to his former co-host at Fox Nation:

Statement from FOX News:

“As we have previously said, this matter was immediately and thoroughly investigated by an outside law firm that was charged with providing us with independent factual findings and recommendations for action based on all of the evidence. We have consistently done this in other employee matters of this nature. All protocols were followed and the recommendations we received were appropriate and promptly implemented. We respect the confidentiality of our employees and their involvement in any HR process and therefore will not comment on the results of the investigation.”

As noted on Thursday night, The Huffington Post obtained the text messages that were previously unreported until Thursday. The text messages show the lewd messages that Tyrus allegedly sent to McHenry.

One text to McHenry read: “Just pull your boobs out now why don’t you. Just grin and bare it” and “keep being negative and I’ll send you another d*ck pic.”

Between November 2018 and January 2019, Tyrus allegedly sent texts like this one: “I love the fact your always working if we ever had sex I feel like after an orgazzum you say speaking of feeling good did see the story on the puppy rescue we should do a segment on it hand me my phone.”

The Huffington Post says Tyrus was never suspended while his conduct was investigated. The non-suspension is “something that confounded sources inside Fox News,” according to the Huffington Post.

Tyrus and McHenry were split up as co-hosts on Fox Nation’s “UN-PC” show. McHenry remains on the show and Tyrus ended up with his own show on the streaming service titled “NuffSaid.”
