Fox Sports deletes video of Bayley telling TV host that wrestlers don’t have a union and pay for their own travel

A clip that was posted a couple of days ago from a Fox Sports interview has been pulled, apparently because of what Bayley said about life on the road with WWE.

Kristine Leahy asked her what fans would be surprised to know about life on the road while working for WWE.

Bayley gave an honest response: “Oh man, it’s not pretty. It’s hard. The hardest part is literally the drives afterward like 4 or 5 hour drives. Sometimes it’s in the sketchiest towns when there’s literally nothing and you’re afraid you’re gonna run out of gas, which does happen”

Leahy was shocked to hear that wrestlers have to get their own rental cars and drive themselves to different cities.

Leahy said that Bayley is a superstar so she feels that wrestlers should have someone taking them to cities. She added, “I think they make a lot of money off of you guys.” Bayley responded, “I don’t know, I think so too.”

Leahy was also surprised to hear that wrestlers don’t have a CBA (Collective Bargaining Agreement) like other sports.

The interview has been deleted from the Fox Sports social media account but Deadspin’s David Bixenspan saved and re-uploaded the clip. Check it out below:

It seems like someone, perhaps in WWE, was not happy about the attention the clip got in the last 24-48 hours.

While WWE does pay for airfare to get wrestlers from their home and back, it is true that wrestlers typically have to get their own rental cars and drive themselves from city to city. Wrestlers also cover their own hotel, except for major weekends (ie. SummerSlam and WrestleMania).
