This week’s episode of WWE SmackDown will continue to build towards the upcoming Elimination Chamber PLE on March 1st, the last stop before WrestleMania 41.
On the show, fans can look forward to a Men’s Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match between Jacob Fatu, Braun Strowman, and Damian Priest, as well as a WWE Women’s Championship match featuring Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Nia Jax, and a Women’s Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match pitting Chelsea Green against Naomi.
However, the show will not have its regular lead announcer, Joe Tessitore, who will be working for ESPN. The sports network will hold a live boxing event headlined by Berinchyk vs. Keyshawn, which will take place on the same day at The Theater at Madison Square Garden.
ESPN announced the news in a press release. SmackDown is being held at the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC. Although WWE has yet to confirm his replacement, Michael Cole is likely to fill the role.
