Another long-time WWE employee has been released by the company.
Dave Meltzer reported today that Gerald Brisco, 73, was one of the names that were part of the wave of releases from a couple of weeks ago. His name did not get out until today because WWE did not list employee releases on their website. Only main roster WWE talent were listed on the site.
Brisco, one of the all-time greats in the wrestling business, has been with WWE since 1984. He primarily worked as one of Vince McMahon’s trusted advisors.
In recent years, he helped to scout new talent from mainstream college sports to help get them into WWE’s developmental system. The last time Brisco was seen on WWE TV was last July during a 24/7 Title segment during the Raw Reunion show.
