WWE Hall Of Famer Goldberg’s return to the company in 2016 was a success. The former WCW Champion was a hot star for WWE’s now-defunct rival in the late ’90s. After WCW went out of business, Goldberg signed with WWE two years later for a run that lasted only a year.
In 2016 Goldberg returned to WWE TV and set up a rivalry with Brock Lesnar. Goldberg defeated Lesnar at the 2016 Survivor Series pay-per-view in dominant fashion. He then went on to capture the Universal Title from Kevin Owens before refocusing his attention to “The Beast.”
Their feud lasted for several months and came to a close at WrestleMania 33 last year. This past April Goldberg was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame. Since the end of his return run last year, many wondered if Goldberg would ever consider doing it one last time.
He was asked about the possibility during an interview with TV Insider. Goldberg said that he thinks the way his return went the right way it should have, and also mentioned he has a lot going on right now:
“Has the itch been scratched for my son? As he is sitting next to me, and I’m taking him to school, I can tell you probably he would love for me to do it again. There is a lot of people he needs to say hello to that he got to be good friends with. I’m sure he misses them.
“But did that fill the void? I think it did. A lot of things go into it. A lot of things are molding my answer. All things considered for the storyline and the timing, I think it went the right way to do it. I think he is satiated as I’m helping coach his football team this afternoon.
“There are other things going on in a 12-year-old’s life. Right now, daddy is doing NCIS: Los Angeles, The Goldbergs, Knife or Death. There are so many other things.”
