Goldberg doesn’t have good things to say about Roman Reigns

WWE Hall Of Famer Bill Goldberg was interviews for the American Monster Productions YouTube channel this week.

It was a lighthearted interview but things got a little more serious when he talked about Roman Reigns. Goldberg specifically wanted to address Reigns’ tweet that took a shot at the head butting ritual before matches. Goldberg likes to headbutt lockers before matches and on some occasions it caused him to get busted open before walking out to the ring. Reigns made note of this in a tweet back in January.

Here is what Reigns said in response to a tweet from a fan: “Nothing to explain Nick. It’s a little piece of pad. So I don’t break my hand on steel grate. I gotta perform like 48 weeks a year man. So that would be stupid. It would be like, head butting a door before my match level of stupid. Anyway, have a good day Nick.”

Here is what Goldberg said this week: “Roman… you’re a joke, first of all. Second of all, when he ragged on me about headbutting the doors and stuff, you know… I never really explained my whole thought process on that.”

“For you guys to get the character that you got, I had to do certain things. Well, one of them was headbutt the door. Right? And that may, on the outside, look like a stupid move, but as I mentioned, we all weigh the positives and negatives, so it’s very positive to make it as violent as humanly possible, and as real as humanly possible, and all the negative is you lose a little blood and hey, man, you get another concussion and cut a week off your life.”

Goldberg was set to wrestle Reigns at WrestleMania but those plans changed because Reigns pulled out of the show because of COVID-19 concerns. Goldberg ended up losing the Universal Championship to Braun Strowman. Goldberg’s feelings might be legitimate but in the wrestling business, you never know when someone is working to set up a match.
